Kim Brown – Owner/Principal
Kim has 25 years in marketing and media with an extensive background in sales, strategic planning, creative production and media placement. Kim has worked with a variety of companies from start-ups to national corporations managing their marketing and advertising budgets. Kim has been the owner of Kim Brown & Associates for over 10 years. Kim enjoys mentoring new business owners in Utah County by serving on the Provo Business Development board.
Judy Copier – General Manager
Judy has been in the advertising industry for 28 years working both at advertising agencies and at a top-rated television station. Judy spent 17 years as a media buyer, 9 of which as the regional media director for one of the largest media buying agencies in the world. Judy also spent 8 years with the local CBS affiliate. As the local sales manager, her key emphasis was on training and developing new business sales teams. Judy has worked with virtually every advertising industry and enjoys start-up businesses just as much as national advertisers. It comes down to developing a partnership with a mutual dedication to seeing business grow.
Shannon Hudson – Media Director
Shannon’s experience has been in the broadcast arena including programming, station development, news/market research, and market rating analysis. Shannon oversees the market research conducted on behalf of our clients to help them fully understand who their target audience is and how best to reach them. In addition, her talent of understanding why viewership happens is a tremendous asset to our clients as we help them strategically position their television advertising dollars. Shannon is responsible for the negotiation, placement and stewardship of all television and outdoor advertising.
Shellie Josephson – Senior Media Buyer
Shellie has had over 24 years experience of working in the advertising field both at advertising agencies as well as the local ABC Affiliate station. Shellie excels in helping clients create promotional opportunities that result in traffic-driving sales and then overseeing all the details to ensure a positive outcome. Shellie is responsible for the negotiation, placement and stewardship of all radio and print advertising.
Brian Utley – Director of Internet Services
Brian Utley has been involved in various aspects of internet marketing for over a decade. He has worked with large companies such as eBay, Novell, and Yahoo, as well as smaller companies nationwide and locally here in Utah. With degrees in Behavioral Science and Information Technology, Brian has extensive knowledge about what motivates individuals online as well as the technical savvy to use that knowledge to create more engaging online experiences. He specializes in paid search, organic search, social media, and targeted content creation. Simply put, Brian knows what makes people "click".
Brett Palmer – Creative Director
As the founding partner of the company, Brett is the creative mastermind behind the operation. He is committed to clear communications and creative design, and has an uncanny sense for color, texture, type, form, spatial relationships, and content development. He oversees all client collateral, web design and creative strategy.
Brett began his career in 1986 in the Film and Television Industry in Los Angeles, art directing both feature films and television shows. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Utah.
Guy Tingey – Graphic Designer
Guy has been working in the graphics industry for over 15 years. As a complex digital imaging specialist for 7 of those years, he was responsible for such key accounts as Palm Computing, Franklin Covey, Browning and O.C. Tanner. Guy also specializes in project management and large format design. As a graphic designer, he has worked on and managed a diverse portfolio including branding and design for the Brent Brown Automotive Group, Ken Garff Automotive Group, Candle Warmers as well as many others. Guy is passionate about not only creating good, solid design but design that makes sense, conveys the right message to the right audience and produces proven, measurable results.
Jennifer West – Communications Strategist
Jennifer’s background includes many different areas of radio and television as well as event planning and marketing coordination. As a radio promotion director for a national radio group, Jennifer planned and organized creative events, live appearances and promotions. She also had a successful career in television news before moving on to public relations.
Shirley Hill – Business Manager
Shirley has been overseeing all business aspects of running an advertising agency for the past 8 years. Prior to joining KBA she worked in the financial planning industry. Shirley is responsible for client billing and collections.
